The House of the High Wind

High Wind

The smallest house appeals to you, so you walk over to it to see who lives there. A rustle of wind gathers up behind you, almost pushing you towards it. You're surprised to see golden green writing across the door "House of the High Wind". What does that mean?

The house is a grey-silver, while the door is a rather violent shade of white. You approach and knock on the door. Slowly, the door unlatches, and a gust of wind throws the door open. How ironic...

"Ahh, welcome!" says a rather ethereal voice. You back away as a tall woman comes into view. She laughs, "Fear me not, I am High Wind, or at least that is what outsiders refer to me as." She eyes you, and stands before you. She has pink and white clothing, long pink hair, and very fair skin. You introduce yourself.

Clip clop....clip clop....clip clop... Something approaches...

Jeane Luc, the Hunter/Scout - De131

"Ah, here comes Jeane Luc now," says the fairy.

What you see is a creature that is molted, he has white, blue, and hazel accents on what appears to be a black coat. He also has a splotch of red, which looks to be some kind of shirt. His hooves appear to be white and blue, although they, too, retain a lot of black in them. You've never seen a creature quite like him before.

He gives High Wind a rather peircing look, and she giggles. "He says that you're a funny-looking wanderor," she remarks. You look at him and realize he must be speaking to her telepathically... how else could he have said that? "He won't communicate with strangers, you see...he hardly spoke to me when he first moved into the wood."

You turn to her and ask when they moved in. She laughs again. "Well, I used to dwell near the castle, but then moved out to Andomo to find a home. I ended up here in the end, though, and I don't plan on leaving. I mean, my powers are nothing compared to those in the deep wood, but here I can make a great difference."

Jeane Luc chirps, and you jump out of surprise. High Wind then says, "I suppose you came looking for the way to the castle. I know only this: you must make your way through a maze. I know the instructions, if you'd like. They are: straight, straight, left, left, straight, right, left, straight and keep going straight until you hit the castle!" She smiles.
