The Home of Vakshmi

Vakshmi

You walk toward the second openned door, and you hear the soft clip-clopping of hooves. You look inside to see a large equine, brown with white and black markings. You cannot place it with a species.

He turns to you, a definate meloncholy in his eyes. He looks startled to see you, though not very shock. He shakes his head, and for the first time you notice rather large horns atop his head.

"Welcome, wanderor," he says rather weakly. "I am Vakshmi."

You ask him why he looks so sad, and he turns away. "I was once a part of a great herd of my kind, Derissa. We're fond of one another. We moved to the Dunes, even though most of us did not want to go. Then the Wood shifted again, and we had to leave again."

He shakes his head. "Did they die?" you ask.

He turns back to you. "I do not know, but I also do not think so. We were moving to the meadows or the mountains, when I was separated from them. They have been lost to me since then." He pauses, and then asks, "Do you plan to wander the wood?"

When you nod, his eyes light up. "Wanderor, will you do me a favor? I know of a wizard who granted my herd a great power. We need only one magic word and we can speak to each other, or even meet one another. If you meet any of my kin, would you tell them about me? Perhaps they will tell you their magic word, and I shall be able to contact them again!" He jumps up happily.

Seeing your curiousity, he continues, "I might even give you a prize for it! What do you say?"

Tell him you already know a magic word
Tell him yes, and leave
